The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blogs.

No, I never have. However, I’ve got a cookbook with a broken spine and I’d love to learn how to repair it. I’m looking at some Youtube videos now.
Have any of you tried to repair a book before?
Good luck fixing that cookbook. YouTube has it all, doesn’t it? 😊

Yes! I often wonder how we used to function without it!

My only advice would be to find a better way than Scotch tape, masking tape, eletrical tape, duct tape, and so on. I hope you find what you need on YouTube!

If I can learn how to do it I will definitely post about it.

I try repairing a thick paperback by gluing the spine. It end up falling a part again.

I never have, Bonnie. If you come across a working method, I’d like to hear about it.

I hope you are able to repair the cookbook. I hadn’t thought of looking on YouTube to learn, but that’s a good idea. I hope you have a great weekend!

I’ve done minor repairs before. A ripped page, or cover, a stained cover, deodorizing, that sort of thing. but no major repairs. Though I did once fix one of mom’s recipe binders that had pages falling apart, and was in danger of losing recipes. (I bought page reinforcers, and fixed the pages, then put them back in the binder, and those that didn’t have holes, I put in a separate folder I bought from the dollar store.)
