DO YOU SEEK OUT NEW AUTHORS TO READ, OR DO YOU TEND TO STICK WITH THE SAME ONES?
ANSWER: Before I became a blogger, I had my favorite authors and didn’t necessarily seek out new ones.. Now as a blogger, and especially as a supporter of Indie authors, I read new authors all the time, and I love it! I still have my favorites, but my world has expanded for sure.

I love to read and write book reviews in my free time. I review advance review copies of books on Netgalley for various publishers. I am also a reviewer for Historical Novels Review Magazine, the magazine of the Historical Novel Society. I review books from publishers of all size, large to small. I have a special place in my heart for indie authors. I will sometimes post a little writing that I might dabble in occasionally. I also am lucky enough to live in the Smoky Mountains, so I'll be sharing photos of the beauty around me from time to time.

I stick with favorites but regularly try new ones, especially with a good recommendation or BookBub offer.

Like you, I’ve expanded my reading lately and am so glad I have.
Yes especially Indie books and authors because so many Indie books are just as good as or better than traditionally published, and I never would have discovered that without branching out.

Yes after I started reading Indie books I realized how the traditional publishers steer us all to basically the same books.
Yes I have read lots of new authors, Indie authors I can download to my Kindle, who I would not have heard of without being in the blogging world.

My answer to the question is the same as yours–and I’m glad of it!
I generally stick with favorites, Bonnie, but occasionally find another favorite.
To paraphrase an old song, “read new authors, but keep reading the old, one is silver and the other gold!”
I am looking for new ones. I have some favorites but I had to change them due to personal reasons.
I used to seek out books by certain authors like Jackie Collins, Sidney Sheldon, and V.C. Andrews when I was younger. I am in a mystery book club and every month we have a book by a different author.
