Book Blogger Hop is run by Billy@coffeeaddictedwriter. There is a different bookish question every week.
The full question is: Do you keep an active list of favorite authors—that you would spend your milk money on—to have it when they publish a book? (submitted by Laura @ Laura’s Book Binge)
Answer: I don’t keep an actual list. There are some series I will buy or request if a new one comes out. As far as authors, I will buy anything Jodi Taylor writes.
What about you? Do you have any “auto-buy” authors?
I love to read and write book reviews in my free time. I review advance review copies of books on Netgalley for various publishers. I am also a reviewer for Historical Novels Review Magazine, the magazine of the Historical Novel Society. I review books from publishers of all size, large to small. I have a special place in my heart for indie authors. I will sometimes post a little writing that I might dabble in occasionally. I also am lucky enough to live in the Smoky Mountains, so I'll be sharing photos of the beauty around me from time to time.

I don’t have a physical list either, but I do have authors I’ll always buy!

I wish I were more of a list maker than I am. I’d be more organized.

I don’t keep a list, but there are authors I follow, so when a new book comes out it goes on my list.

You have a book list, not an author list, correct?

Sort of. I follow authors on their sites and on Amazon.

I can think of three auto-buys off the top of my head: essayist, fiction writer, and poet DeWitt Henry, poet George Franklin, and memoirist Joy Neal Kidney.

I’m anticipating books this year by Jolene Philo, David LaBelle, Craig Matthews, historian Dennis Peterson, Dan Walsh, Marcus Brotherton, and will Liz Gauffreau have a new book out soon?

I want to know when Liz’s book is coming out too.

Hi Bonnie 👋 My one auto-buy author is Terry Pratchett – I am always on the look out for Discworld books I don’t have yet, in second-hand/charity shops, because I love the original illustrated covers by Josh Kirby. 😊

I don’t have a physical list, but I definitely have certain auto-buy/read authors. Meghan Quinn, Helena Hunting, Amy Daws, Tara Sivec, I could go on and on because I have quite a few!
