Book Blogger Hop is run by Billy@CoffeeAddictedWriter. Each week, there is a prompt with a book-related query. The aim of the blog hop is to provide bloggers with an opportunity to follow other blogs, discover new books, make friends with other bloggers, and gain new followers for their own sites.

Answer: I use the regular five-star rating system, with a twist. Here is the link to my Review Policy. The twist is I can give a rating of 6 to the category “How Did It Make Me Feel,” which could take the book above five stars. I’m all about the feelings.
How about you? What is your rating system when reviewing a book and what category would be most important to you?

That’s an interesting twist. Very cool! I should add that as a category maybe 🤔
Thanks Tessa. If I can’t get emotionally invested in a book, it’s not a win for me.
I also use the basic 5 star rating system. Have a wonderful weekend ☕📚☀️💜😊
Have a great weekend, Jody!
I use the basic 5 star system. It’s cool that you have added a slight alteration to fit your personality.
Thank you, Tim! That’s the most important part of a book for me.
I don’t like using a numerical rating system, but there’s no way to avoid it. I prefer writing a combination of critical analysis and reader response.
I sometimes wish I didn’t have to use numbers, but Amazon and other sites require a numeric rating, so I do the same here since I’m going to have to assign it there anyway.
Yes, that’s my position, too, although I don’t use the numerical rating on my blog.
