Book Blogger Hop: Are you a voracious reader or a #booknerd?

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

This week’s question was submitted by Billy @Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.

Either one is fine with me. Voracious reader means you have an appetite for books, or want a lot of books, so that sounds more appropriate for me. Book nerds might refer to more intellectual or technical books, so I would say voracious reader fits better.

What about you? Voracious reader or book nerd?

  1. Good question, Bonnie. I’m no longer a book nerd, though when I went to college and later worked in the technical field I definitely was. Now I read because I enjoy it. 🙂

  2. Interesting thoughts on what each mean. I think of a book nerd as more someone who just likes books and reading in all it forms. That’s me. I would go with voracious reader but I’m slow and I can’t usually keep up with true voracious readers. 😀 Thanks for stopping by my post.
