Anyone knowledgeable of WordPress, please check out my question below. I have just been learning as I go with blogging the last two years and I don’t want to make any major mistakes.
I just changed my primary site address to bonniereadsandwrites.blog. My previous primary address was bonniereadsandwrites.wordpress.com. Will this hurt the web traffic I’ve built up the last two years? And would changing it again to bonniereadsandwrites.com help or hurt it?
I love to read and write book reviews in my free time. I review advance review copies of books on Netgalley for various publishers. I am also a reviewer for Historical Novels Review Magazine, the magazine of the Historical Novel Society. I review books from publishers of all size, large to small. I have a special place in my heart for indie authors. I will sometimes post a little writing that I might dabble in occasionally. I also am lucky enough to live in the Smoky Mountains, so I'll be sharing photos of the beauty around me from time to time.

I don’t know anything about wordpress, but I did google both of your addresses, wordpress and blog, and ended up here on this page for both. Sorry I can’t be more help.
Let me just add that putting. “.com” on the end of your selected blog name makes for the easiest way for a person to remember your blog’s location, IMHO. “.blog” is not nearly as common.

It didn’t hurt us when we switched from .blog to .com with WordPress.

Traffic should be automatically redirected to the new address. I tried it and it worked.
