Book Blogger Hop: More Than One Blog?

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Every week there is a new bookish question.

This Week’s Question

Do you run more than one blog? If so, how do you find the time?

Answer

No, I only have one blog. I couldn’t possibly run more. I am trying to also do Instagram again, but it is time-consuming, so it’s hard to keep up both. EDIT: Edited to add I’m trying to revive a Substack I started last year and haven’t used much. I just imported some of my blog posts there, but I have no idea what I’m doing. Anyone with a Substack that wants to do a follow for follow, let me know.

Question for You

How many social platforms do you run, which ones, and is it hard to manage more than one?

  1. One blog is more than enough. I do Facebook and Instagram (occassionally). I have an X and a Bluesky account but seldom go on them. There is only so much time.

  2. Only one blog. WordPress is my one stop blog and author website. I am on Instagram, but it is just a photo album for me! To be honest, if a writer or anyone has more than one blog, I’m not always sure who I am ‘talking to’.

  3. Yes one blog is enough now for me as I barely have time to work on my blog as it is. The social media I have is Facebook, Instagram, X. Though I’m rarely on my social media.

  4. I had two blogs when I started out in 2016. I ended up giving up on one of them. I’m on Facebook (wish I weren’t), LinkedIn (meh), Bluesky (meh), and Substack.

  5. I dabbled with a second blog once a looong time ago and it was hard to maintain both. Also because I favored my book blog, so that other blog died a quick death. Lol. But I put its purpose onto my book blog but the hobby itself has kind of died too. Oh well. Reading lives on!

  6. Well, Bonnie, there is only so much time per day. Your blog posts are always wonderful to me.

  7. I just started trying to get back into IG after being offline for years. So many things have changed. My facebook used to be short hooks to direct people to my blog to read the full review, but FB has stopped allowing links, unless you pay a subscription fee, so I now try to do full review posts on FB and IG, and no long try to bring people to the my blog.

  8. I also tried to work on Substack, but… I don’t know. I only have 5 subscribers, and only put up one post (https://davidachazan.substack.com/p/should-i-or-shouldnt-i). After my META accounts were hacked and then locked, and I also had my twitter account hacked, trying to get those back up to speed was hard enough. I don’t think I have the energy to do more than just my one WordPress blog.

  9. I just have my blog and that takes enough time. I do have a bluesky account, but never really go on it. I also have instagram, but that is more to post for the occasional challenge etc. Facebook is a personal account to keep up with family and close friends.

  10. Yeah, I’d also love to do more on IG, but there’s only so many hours in the day!
