Amazon just restored my reviews and my reviewing abilities after looking at my appeal, weeks later. They provided no details as to why this happened in the first place. But I’m back reviewing on Amazon…unless it happens again! If I reviewed your book on Amazon in the past, the review should be restored within 24 hours.
I love to read and write book reviews in my free time. I review advance review copies of books on Netgalley for various publishers. I am also a reviewer for Historical Novels Review Magazine, the magazine of the Historical Novel Society. I review books from publishers of all size, large to small. I have a special place in my heart for indie authors. I will sometimes post a little writing that I might dabble in occasionally. I also am lucky enough to live in the Smoky Mountains, so I'll be sharing photos of the beauty around me from time to time.

How did you get them to look at it again? I didn’t get any response from them at all.

They looked at the email I originally sent to review-appeals@amazon.com weeks ago. I wasn’t expecting it. Did you originally send it to that address?

That’s wonderful news, Bonnie! I’m so happy for you and so glad you won your appeal with Amazon. Yet, she persisted! 😉

Thank you! I’m very surprised!

You certainly deserve to have your reviews and reviewing ability restored, Bonnie. I think they didn’t come up with a reason for it happening because they don’t want to admit how stupid it was.

That’s wonderful. I have found with these sort of things that with patience, they usually resolve themselves. Well done!

With Amazon, people have been waiting for years, not knowing what they did wrong. My experience was a few weeks’ wait probably. I’ll have to look back at my original post.
