In this heat, it’s the best way to go!
My husband and I will be staying at home.
We’re going down to my cousin’s for dinner, but otherwise we’ll be home in the air conditioning. I think we’ll watch Mel Gibson in Patriot to mark the day.
I don’t blame you for staying in the air conditioning. We have one portable unit in my study, but that’s it.
Is it a lot cooler up in Vermont right now? It was 93 here yesterday.
It’s less humid today, thankfully.

I should add it’s a stressful day for the dogs, who are scared of fireworks. Usually we can hear the town celebration and Harold is not a fan.
