Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. There’s a different bookish topic every week. This week’s topic is below. I love this topic! Bookish Superpowers!

10. The ability to stop requesting for a few weeks so I can get caught up on my TBR.
9. The restraint needed to read my TBR from oldest to newest without skipping around!
8. Super speed reading without missing anything in the book.
7. I saw this in a novel so it’s not my idea, but the ability to touch a book and pick up thoughts and feelings from previous readers.
6. Superior organizational skills so I’ll never forget what’s on my TBR.
5. Super concentration, both for reading and writing.
4. The ability to recognize a DNF before I choose the book.
3. The ability to remember all the wonderful quotes I’ve read whenever I need them.
2. The ability to actually enter the magical worlds I’m reading about.
1. The ability to choose one or more of the magical powers I’m reading about for myself.

How about you? Which bookish superpowers would you choose?

All of yours, especially number 8!
I definitely wish I had that.
What a cool list! I, too, wish to be disciplined enough to get through my TBR. The problem is there are always awesome NEW books. 😉
Don’t I know it!
I love your # 7:
7. I saw this in a novel so it’s not my idea, but the ability to touch a book and pick up thoughts and feelings from previous readers.
that would be amazing & like a whole other story
Thanks!
Wonderful list, especially the ability to enter magical worlds! 😀
I’m know right? I’d be off to Narnia in a flash
Right behind you! 😂
This is a great list! lol
Thanks!
This is a great list, Bonnie. It’s good for me to learn that someone else wants to improve their reading capability.
Thanks! I definitely like 1 and 2 the best.
I could go with the bookish superpowers on your list.
I would give you a magic laptop that edits everything right the on the first try.
I could go with that!
How funny that I made a mistake in the sentence about the magic editing laptop!
Even funnier that I didn’t notice!
So many of us want to be to read faster!
Wouldn’t that be awesome!
All are lovely ideas, love the 1 and 2
Thanks! Those are my favorites.
#7 sounds cool, but I was thinking I wouldn’t want that power because what if their thoughts and feelings about the book changed my experience reading it?
I guess it could be good or bad
Being able to choose magical powers in books to have for myself sounds so cool!
Me too. I just don’t know which one I would choose.
A great list! The whole restraint thing I can relate to. I am doing pretty well so far by cutting down on the Blog Tours but …
Have a great week!
I had to cut way down on those too!
I was doing 3/4 a month so I was literally reading one Blog Tour book after the other to get them done in time. I’m trying to cut it to 1 a month after this month. I have booked 1 each for March, April and May 😶
That is smart. I also got more selective about which tours I join. Some of them barely share your blog post or spotlight you. Some of them however do a great job of raising engagement for their bloggers/bookstagrammers.
I have a couple of Blog Tour options, but I only sign up with the one company.
I would love the ability to pop into a book I’m reading. But not all of them, or at least not in some scenes. I don’t need someone else’s stress in my life.

I definitely would pick Narnia or one of the time travel series I like.
True. I don’t want to be in any horror books, that’s for sure!
Great list! I think 8-10 would come in very handy for me… I did something different this week: https://franlaniado.wordpress.com/2024/02/20/top-ten-tuesday-this-list-has-been-brought-to-you-by-the-letter-b/
I liked your twist on the topic.
Reading your TBR from oldest to newest! Oh man, that would take some superpowers to not bounce around but man that would be awesome. Being able to avoid books that you’d otherwise DNF is another great one.
I really need to either read those old books on my TBR or DNF them.
Speed reading! I want that. I’m such a slow reader. It’s frustrating.
I would love to speed read as long as I didn’t miss the full impact of the book.
The ability to take on a superpower from a character would be very cool!
It would. I guess I would want Hermione’s magical ability. But there are so many options.
These are all great ones Bonnie, and some I haven’t seen on other lists. I would love to be able to get feelings from previous readers as well as willpower to read my oldest books on my TBR.
I really need the willpower!
Ooh, the “magical” powers are so fun, but I also love the one about remembering quotes and sensing thoughts and feelings of previous readers. So cool!
I wish I could remember which book I read that in. I’ll have to look.
No. 7 is a really intriguing one – especially with the marmite, mega-hyped books that people either love of hate. The conflict you’d get would be so strange! Great list!
Lots of people like that one!
This is such a great list! We have a few in common, but the one where you can tell which book will be a DNF is brilliant! I want to knock one off my list and replace it with that one!
Wouldn’t that save us so much time!
Seriously!
[…] We talked about Bookish Superpowers on Top Ten Tuesday. […]
Cool superpowers! I can relate to them all! Wouldn’t it be cool to transfer thoughts between readers?!?!?! And remembering quotes is one challenge I haven’t conquered yet. If I remember to write it down, I can’t find my notes!
