Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Day. I sincerely wish you a Blessed 2024, in which you are surrounded by love, peace, and joy. Below are my top ten books of 2023. These are traditionally published. I’m going to do a separate Indie list later. Click on the covers to read my reviews and learn more about the books.
10. Enola Holmes and the Mark of the Mongoose

9. Hotel Laguna by Nicola Harrison

8. The Reformatory by Tananarive Due

7. The Good, The Bad, and The History by Jodi Taylor

6. The All American by Susie Finkbeiner

5. Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros

4. At The Coffee Shop of Curiosities by Heather Webber

3. Inheritance by Nora Roberts

2. Spare by Prince Harry and J.D. Moehringer

- Kinfolk by Sean Dietrich

How about you? What were your favorite books of 2023?

Fab list and great to see St. Mary’s on it! 😀
I love that series so much!
Such an intriguing list, Bonnie. Wrote down some titles, especially Kinfolk and the book by Jody Taylor 🙂
Great! With The Chronicles of St Mary’s you should start at Book 1 because they aren’t really standalones and a lot happens. Book 1 is called Just One Damned Thing After Another
Haven’t read any of these but some gorgeous covers there!
The cover of The All American is probably my favorite of this bunch. I like the Coffee Shop of Curiosities cover a lot too.
I like the sound of The Coffee Shop of Curiosities especially!
It’s so good. Heather Webber writes small-town fiction with a touch of magical realism, and it’s such a great combination.
How fun to separate tradition/indie published books. I loved Fourth Wing but did not get to Iron Flame last year. It’s a priority this year!
I really liked Iron Flame, especially Andarna!
Great list! The Coffee Shop of Curiosities and The Reformatory are already on my TBR. I’m also planning to dive into The Chronicles of St. Mary’s in 2024.

Happy reading in 2024!
Oh how I envy you getting to read The Chronicles of St. Mary’s for the first time!
Great list, Bonnie. ❤ These look like great reads. ✨
Thanks. I got so many great reads this year that it was hard to pick 10.
The Reformatory sounds interesting.
It is so good and so sad.
I’ll have to keep it in mind.
Iron Flame surprised me in the end. It was a great read. I’m glad it made your list. Happy 2024!
There are definitely some surprises for sure! I wish I could talk more without spoilers!
Happy 2024!
Great list! I’ve heard of a couple of these but haven’t read any.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great new year!
I love the Netflix Enola Holmes movies. I’ve thought about reading the books. I’m glad you enjoyed it as much you did. I hope 2024 is a great year for you. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Thanks! I think the books are brilliant. Have a great new year!
I just added The All-American to my TBR! I hope to enjoy it as much as you did.

Yes, it was a great reading year!
I read the first book in the Enola Holmes series this year and LOVED it. It was especially good on audio. Very entertaining.
