Top Ten Tuesday: Books with One-Word Titles

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s topic is Top Ten Books With One-Word Titles.

#Spare by #PrinceHarry is my favorite memoir that I’ve read in a while. And it’s eye-opening about the life of a royal.

Twilight

I know most people either love or hate Twilight. I love it.

I still haven’t started this box set of Dune. Loved the movie.

One of many #NoraRoberts books I have enjoyed.

I was just approved for this and looking forward to reading it.

I saw the movie. I’m not sure if I read the book.

One of my all-time favorites.

Cool movie. Again, don’t think I read the book. Love the cover.

#StephenKing likes one-word titles, doesn’t he?

I really enjoyed The Hunger Games series and have read it over many times. Mockingjay is the only one-word title.

What about you? What books with one-word titles would you put on your list?

  1. How did I forget Twilight? Especially considering I watched several of the movies last weekend. lol I’ve enjoyed several by Nora Roberts and am looking forward to Identity.

  2. I also really enjoyed the “Dune” movie. And the book was one of my favorites that I’ve read in the past few years. I liked the idea for this list, so I Googled other one-word titles to see which I’ve read. I’d put these on my list: “It” (yet another Stephen King book!), “Feed” (by M.T. Anderson), “Annihilation” (Jeff VanderMeer), and “Neuromancer” (William Gibson). And I’d add a book with a one-letter title: “V.” (Thomas Pynchon).

  3. After racking my brain to actually remember titles I recalled quite q few of my sci-fi favorites. Footfall, Ringworld, Foundation, Inferno, Crashlander, Flatlander, Protector. It seems like Larry Niven had a “thing” for one word titles too

  4. I’ve read four of these. I liked TWILIGHT when I first read it. It was one of the first YA books I read as an adult so it was kind of groundbreaking in that way. I know it’s gotten a lot of hate since then, but it’s not a bad read!

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

  5. Great list! I have to say, Cujo the book was so much better than the movie – the book allows for so much more exploration of the story than movies do. And I seriously need to read Spare, I’ve heard nothing but great things about it.
