Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s topic is Top Ten Books With One-Word Titles.
Top Ten Books with One-Word Titles (suggested by Angela@ReadingFrenzybookblog.

#Spare by #PrinceHarry is my favorite memoir that I’ve read in a while. And it’s eye-opening about the life of a royal.
Twilight

I know most people either love or hate Twilight. I love it.

I still haven’t started this box set of Dune. Loved the movie.

One of many #NoraRoberts books I have enjoyed.

I was just approved for this and looking forward to reading it.

I saw the movie. I’m not sure if I read the book.

One of my all-time favorites.

Cool movie. Again, don’t think I read the book. Love the cover.

#StephenKing likes one-word titles, doesn’t he?

I really enjoyed The Hunger Games series and have read it over many times. Mockingjay is the only one-word title.
What about you? What books with one-word titles would you put on your list?

How did I forget Twilight? Especially considering I watched several of the movies last weekend. lol I’ve enjoyed several by Nora Roberts and am looking forward to Identity.
Looking at everyone’s lists there are a lot of different choices. I had no idea there were so many one word titles.
I had 3 of these on my list too, lol! Good list, Bonnie. Have a great day ☕🌞📚💜
Thanks Jody! You have a great day too.
I also really enjoyed the “Dune” movie. And the book was one of my favorites that I’ve read in the past few years. I liked the idea for this list, so I Googled other one-word titles to see which I’ve read. I’d put these on my list: “It” (yet another Stephen King book!), “Feed” (by M.T. Anderson), “Annihilation” (Jeff VanderMeer), and “Neuromancer” (William Gibson). And I’d add a book with a one-letter title: “V.” (Thomas Pynchon).
Great choices! I was wondering if 11/22/63 counted as a one word title although it’s all numbers.
Hmmm…. not sure about the date as one word … but it makes for an interesting title!
After racking my brain to actually remember titles I recalled quite q few of my sci-fi favorites. Footfall, Ringworld, Foundation, Inferno, Crashlander, Flatlander, Protector. It seems like Larry Niven had a “thing” for one word titles too
I just bought the Foundation trilogy on Kindle.
I haven’t read Spare yet, but I’d like to. It should be interesting!
I think the book Carrie was more interesting than the movie. There were some stylistic elements and backstory that the movie wasn’t really able to translate.

I just went with the last ones I’ve read.
I highly recommend the audiobook of Spare. Harry reads it himself and does a wonderful job.
I’ll check it out! I’m just starting to get into audiobooks.
I have Spare on my bookshelf, just not got around to reading it. This reminds me I need to pick it up and read it.

I liked your list as well and I hope you enjoy Spare!
Good ones, Bonnie. 🙂
Thanks! It’s a fun topic.
This is the second time Spare has been mentioned in a TTT Post! I think it’s fate telling me I need to buy this one and read it. I’m not a huge Royal fan, but something about Harry has always intrigued me.
It was eye opening for me. Here’s my review if you are interested in reading it. https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2023/02/01/audiobook-review-spare-read-by-prince-harry-ghostwritten-by-j-r-moehringer-royalfamily-meghanmarkle/
Thank you! I’ll definitely check your review out!!
What a great list, Bonnie. I also enjoyed Spare, although I know many others did not.
I loved it. Especially the audiobook.
Nice picks! I’m so used to thinking of Mockingjay as part of The Hunger Games that I forgot it had a one word title by itself. Happy reading!

I think I’m gonna do a re-read. It’s been a while. Happy Reading!
I don’t think I’ve re-read the books since seeing the movies… it HAS been a long time!
Perusing my bookshelves, I see Atonement by Ian McEwan and Wicked by Gregory Maguire (both of which I enjoyed very much).
I saw the Broadway Show of Wicked years ago. Loved it.
The book was excellent.
I have read several of these. I also loved Twilight. Have a great week!
Thanks Cindy! You too!
Great list – I had forgotten how many great one-word titles Stephen King has written.
I was surprised too!
I LOVE seeing Twilight on the list!
Thank you. Have a great week.
Excellent choices! I’ve read quite a few of these.
Thanks Tessa!
I’ve read four of these. I liked TWILIGHT when I first read it. It was one of the first YA books I read as an adult so it was kind of groundbreaking in that way. I know it’s gotten a lot of hate since then, but it’s not a bad read!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I really enjoyed Twilight. It was a lot less bloody than most vampire books and had a different take on vampires altogether, which is probably why some don’t like it.
How did I forget about twilight? I love it too
Yes this is making me want to read it again.
Mockingjay was on my list this week too!

Great list! I’m going to check out Breathe.
🙂
Great list! I have to say, Cujo the book was so much better than the movie – the book allows for so much more exploration of the story than movies do. And I seriously need to read Spare, I’ve heard nothing but great things about it.
I need to read Cujo. Spare tells what the real life of a Prince entails. It’s very controlled.
My mom bought a copy, but hasn’t read it. It’s been calling to me, I’ll definitely give it a read sooner or later.
My goodness! I have read SEVEN out of your TEN! Do I win a prize? Ha ha. Great choices, all…
Lol! Great minds think alike.
