Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Wishes

Top Ten Tuesday is run by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each Tuesday a topic is assigned for a new top ten list. This week the topic is Bookish Wishes.

Though the topic suggests you list ten books you’d like to own, I really can’t think of ten that I don’t already own, so I added some signed books and bookish gifts. These are in no particular order.

  1. Signed Harry Potter books. JK Rowling has traditionally not signed as many books as other authors, so these are quite pricey. Does anyone have $10,000 lying around? Click on the cover for a link to four Potter books, Order of the Phoenix, Goblet of Fire, Half Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows, signed and with certificates of authenticity, for $9,550.

2. Personalized Corner bookmark. Back down to earth. A cute bookmark for only 9.99

3. Reading themed socks. Comfy socks and reading go well together.

4. Signed Lauren Alaina book.

I’ve been a big Lauren Alaina fan for over 10 years now, ever since she was on American Idol. I have met her and have several items signed by her, but I don’t have the signed book yet. I have read it and it’s really great with lots of advice for young women about healing from bad relationships. It’s on my wish list and affordable. She is always so open to fans and has signed many, many autographs so this is not pricey.

5. Dolly Parton and James Patterson signed: Run Rose Run

This is signed by both Dolly and Patterson, and while I wouldn’t part with $350 for it, I will look for it at cheaper price. I actually haven’t read this one. Photo credit to the person who made the ebay listing.

6. Cool Book Tote. I guess you could tote anything, but we all know it will be books. Great for the beach.

7. C.S. Lewis Quote Art: C.S. Lewis has so many great quotes out there. This art would look great decorating a book nook.

8. A Book-Themed Purse. I am the owner of many purses. This one really catches my eye. At the link are options for other classics as well but I like Pride and Prejudice.

9. Book Earrings. So cute!

10. Pendant bookmarks: These are very pretty and affordable.

How about you? What’s on your bookish wish list?

  1. The bookmarks caught my eye. I never saw the corner ones before and love it, but the pendants are so pretty! Hmmm. Great list!

  2. A book themed purse would be fabulous! I saw a Facebook ad for some the other day, but now I can’t remember the website. Maybe it will come back to me. They were really cute. Bookish earrings? Yes, please. And you can never have too many bookmarks!

  3. A book theme purse seems so fun! Plus would make a great gift for that avid book lover in our life. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my website today.

  4. I’m thinking you should show this list to your husband so that he gets the hint that you really want that book purse! And did you realize that a kindle will fit inside? I’m not seeing anything on your list that I’d want, but I have a whole list (more than 10) for bookish themed items at bookwares.com

  5. Ooh nice list of goodies! A signed Harry Potter would be pretty cool! Though I think I have other authors books I’d love to get signed over hers! Lol. I’ve been lucky to meet many authors to date, but there’s still always a handful that elude me. I also love those book purses, but I feel like I carry too much with me to be able to make them work! Lol. I could definitely win the scavenger hunt in a purse contest though! Lol.

    Thanks for visiting my TTT!

  6. I love the two different bookmarks that you listed in this post! The pendant and the corner bookmarks are both so pretty, and would come in handy. I tend to use scrap junk mail as bookmarks so … haha

  7. Because I am downsizing, not looking to add physical books to my house right now, but I love that corner bookmark. I bet I could make that!
