Book Blogger Hop: The Title of Your Autobiography

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blogs.

Well, we have an interesting question this week. One that was submitted by Billy@Ramblings of a coffee-addicted writer and took a lot of thought.

I’m not so sure I can settle on one. I keep learning new things all the time, even at 59, and the title of my autobiography probably would have been different five, ten, or fifteen years ago. And it might be different in the future. I hope to live another 30 years, if I’m so lucky. But for now, I would probably call it Raised by a Mountain Girl, because I learned so much from my Mom. My mom grew up poor in the mountains of North Carolina and she raised 8 kids in Ohio, but the mountains never left her and she returned as soon as she could, right around the age I am now. I’m getting ready to retire and move to those mountains too, and I’m going to keep trying to emulate her in every way I can.

What about you? What would you call your autobiography?

  1. I like your idea of Raised by a Mountain Girl. I haven’t written an autobiography but I have written some stories about growing up on the Canadian prairie. I called it. You Can Take The Girl From the Prairie. It just seemed the right title for the book.

  2. Mine would be something like “Sword and Sorcery and Jesus” haha! It would need a subtitle added but I’m not sue what that would be
