Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
You can just tell this is going to be a lot of fun.
1.
The basis for the movie Field of Dreams is about a summer that a farmer plowed his corn, built a baseball diamond, and Shoeless Joe Jackson came to Iowa.
These are my top ten summer covers. What are yours?
I love to read and write book reviews in my free time. I review advance review copies of books on Netgalley for various publishers. I am also a reviewer for Historical Novels Review Magazine, the magazine of the Historical Novel Society. I review books from publishers of all size, large to small. I have a special place in my heart for indie authors. I will sometimes post a little writing that I might dabble in occasionally. I also am lucky enough to live in the Smoky Mountains, so I'll be sharing photos of the beauty around me from time to time.

Thank you! I loved that your list was all covers about Summer in France.
I enjoyed your list as well, especially the Beauty Queens cover. I haven’t seen that on any of the other lists, and it’s awesome. I followed your blog as well.

Your list looks how I expected mine to look, with lots of water. Summer to me is about time at the beach and/or the lake. And I love that you included the baseball boys of summer. That connection didn’t even cross my mind as I created my list. Great choices!

Thanks Jen. Yep: beaches, baseball, and reading outside on a sunny day.

I’ve seen The Beach Trip on a lot of TTTs today–I’ll have to check it out! Great list.

I enjoyed The Beach Trap. It’s like a reverse Parent Trap in a way.

Now my interest is definitely piqued!

This is a fabulous list! You did a great job with the various summery covers, and I especially love the cover for A Summer Getaway – it makes me want to escape to a beach house!

Thanks for commenting on my post. Sorry it has taken me a little bit to get back to you. I’ve been exhausted from moving and unpacking. I’m sure you understand.
I love your cover choices and I was happy to see that we had a couple in common. I think my favorite cover you chose is When We Were Sisters. 😀

Glad you’ve recovered from the moving process! I like that cover too.

Thanks so much! Yours were great too. I am getting lots of book ideas!
Great covers! Love the baseball books (coming from a Yankees fan:)
I grew up a Reds fan, and I was 12 years old when Pete Rose and Johnny Bench were winning World Series. So sad the way the Reds are now.
I really liked Book Lovers, I need to check out Emily Henry’s other books…they all look very summery!
I’m really more of a Fall person, but I’m going to check out People We Meet on Vacation just because the cover looks so fun.
What a fun challenge!
I do like these challenges, if I have time to do them.
I reeeaaly enjoyed People We Meet On Vacation! I read it well into the night to finish it 🙂
I’m going to read that one just because of how great the cover is.
Great picks! I like the look of When We Were Sisters and will have to look that one up.
Here’s my TTT Post
I liked your list too, especially The Bookstore on the Beach! I want to go to that bookstore!
So many pretty covers!! Happy reading!
You too!
I love that you have Shoeless Joe on this list. Nothing is more summery in the US than baseball!
Thanks and I agree!
Some very pretty covers here!

A great list of books! I love that you included baseball; it is definitely an iconic part of summer.
