Weekend Woes

Well, I got the booster shot on Friday and the last two days have been a bit miserable. I felt too weak to post anything until tonight. Now I’m back to my regularly scheduled programming! My wonderful husband made me some chicken soup and went out and got me some pudding, so I had all the ultimate sick food.

Here’s the recipe for the soup. It’s amazing. It’s called Flu Fighter Chicken Soup. Click on the photo to go to the recipe.

On a positive note, I have been a longtime fan of the Cincinnati Bengals since I was a kid growing up in said city. And they won a playoff game yesterday! Any football fans on here will know it’s been a long time coming! So that was something pleasant during my weekend of misery.

  1. So glad you’re feeling better, Bonnie! As for the soup recipe, thank you! I make great chicken soup, but lemon and dill in it?? Sounds delicious, and a huge thanks to your husband for taking such good care of it. As for football, we’re Buffalo fans, living so close, but it was a heck of a great football weekend, wasn’t it!!!

  2. So glad your feeling better! My husband (this past week) and I (a month ago) had more reaction to the booster than we did to the original vaccine. We both developed fevers, overwhelming tiredness, etc… but it only lasted a couple of days. 🤗🤗🤗. And, that chicken soup sounds yummy with or without being sick.

    1. They lost two starting Defensive lineman and a third backup lineman in the first half. So I’m a bit worried about that. They are apparently trying out free agent linemen as we speak. But we do have Joe and Ja’Marr!

  3. Sorry you weren’t feeling well, but I’m glad you’re better. I want to say congratulations on the Bengals moving on, but as a lifelong Steelers fan, I can’t quite form those words. 😉

        1. What bugs me the most is even just a regular tackle of Brady will turn into roughing the passer. Our QB can get his helmet ripped off and nothing. But bump into Brady accidentally and you get a roughing call.

  4. Good to know that you recovered from the side effects of that booster shot. It probably means that your body has learned to fight that blasted coronavirus.

  5. I’m so glad you’re feeling better! That booster made us all sick also, but so worth it. So much better than being in a hospital on a ventilator. We’re big football fans in our house. My son is a 49ers fan and my husband is a LA Rams fan, so we’re watching the Rams right now. Congratulations to the Bengals, it was an exciting game for sure!
