We’re so blessed to have this view from our future retirement home in Bryson City, NC. I always love when the fall colors come out and had to share it with you. Below is an Autumn Tanka I wrote this morning for you to enjoy along with the picture.
Autumn Rest
Harvest is over Creatures have gathered their stores Time for rest has come.
The trees put on their loungewear Of glorious reds and golds
I hope you are all enjoying the Fall season! It’s my favorite time of year.
I love to read and write book reviews in my free time. I review advance review copies of books on Netgalley for various publishers. I am also a reviewer for Historical Novels Review Magazine, the magazine of the Historical Novel Society. I review books from publishers of all size, large to small. I have a special place in my heart for indie authors. I will sometimes post a little writing that I might dabble in occasionally. I also am lucky enough to live in the Smoky Mountains, so I'll be sharing photos of the beauty around me from time to time.

The perfect autumn view and tanka! My husband and I went on a try to take in the leaves changing from yellow, red, and orange to russet.

I live in Davidson, which is a northern suburb of Charlotte. NC has such lovely mountains. What a great place to retire. ❤️

You’re not too far from me. I currently live in Johnson City, TN, which is about 3 hours from Charlotte. And Bryson City is 3 hours away from you too.
