Check out the rules at The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s been a long week of work and some reading. Not as much as I’d like, of course. Doug and our three dachshunds are coming home today. He’s been in Bryson City working on the house, so it will be nice to be back together for a while until the next renovation trip.

Doug’s birthday was last week but he wasn’t here, so we’re celebrating it today. Happy 60th birthday, Doug!
LAST WEEK ON THE BLOG
Monday I did three one-line reviews of The Bakery at Clamshell Bay, The Dead Shall Weep, and So Long as It’s Wild.
Tuesday I participated in Top Ten Tuesday and discussed the Top Ten Books I’m Reading This Fall.
Friday I participated in Book Blogger Hop and discussed how reading has benefited me.
Saturday I reviewed Exodus Team: New Roads for Indie Weekend.
NEXT WEEK ON THE BLOG
I have plans to do full reviews of A Tryst in Paris, A Case of the Bleus, and A Traitor in Whitehall. I will participate in Top Ten Tuesday and Book Blogger Hop if time permits.

BOOK HAUL

The Berlin Letters is set during the Cold War. A Christmas Vanishing may be the last Christmas novella by the late Anne Perry, unless she had more written before her death. Sisters of Fortune is set on the Titanic. I’m looking forward to all of them.
That’s my week. How was your week?

I enjoy books about the Titanic so Sisters of Fortune interests me. I wonder if ‘the Unsinkable Molly Brown’ is a sister.
No they were three real sisters, the Fortune Sisters, who were actually on the Titanic. I haven’t read the book yet but Molly Brown may well be a character.
Sounds very good
I had a busy week working on the third developmental edit for my novel-in-progress, trying to catch up on writing reviews (not there yet!), and participating in a book fair yesterday.
Hope things are going well with the edit.
So far, so good. I’ve found plenty of whoopsies.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DOUG!! It sounds like you’re both working very hard on different projects, and your three pups look like they miss you, Bonnie:)
Thanks Gail! Doug is their favorite but he’s always the favorite of every dog he’s ever met. Dog whisperer.
I haven’t read one of those Anne PErry Christmas novellas in years. I was reading them every year for a while. Whitehall looks good too.
I’ve only read a couple of her most recent ones, but I’m planning to go back and look at the earlier novellas.
I’m also excited for what is probably the last Anne Perry Christmas novella. Great pic of the dogs and you must be glad to have them home. Happy celebrating!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thank you Anne. It is great to have everyone home!
Happy birthday Doug!! Glad you were all able to celebrate together, just on a different date. Makes the birthday last longer. ☺️
Thanks Louise. They just got home and he was finally able to get his presents.
You’re amazing, Bonnie. Happy birthday to Doug! 😀
Wow! Looks like an awesome list of books you read and are going to read. Glad the family is back together for a bit at least.
